Super tired from the weekend

This past weekend was great and relaxing but I'm still tired from it lol. The new guy and I went to my hometown (on the lake) to get away from the normal weekend craziness. We went out for dinner with my mother and her boyfriend and then spent the following day at the lake just laying around and swimming. I showed him around the small town and we had a lot of fun. I had to basically drag him out of there; he didn't want to come back home.

Sunday we went to a BBQ at my Great Aunt's house. I think it was virtually painless for him though. Everyone was really nice to him, no embarrassing comments thank god. He was really sweet about even going since I would have been a nervous wreck if the situation was the other way around.

I stayed OP all weekend but I didn't make it to the gym at all. I was back there after work today and had a great workout. I got stuck on that tv show, something like I didn't know I was was ridiculous and I couldn't help watching the entire thing. I ended up doing 40 minutes on the arc trainer, 25 minutes on the treadmill, an ab workout, lunges, squats and other strength training for my legs.

I'm watching tv tonight and plan on making it an early night so I can get up early for the gym. Tomorrow is my Mom's birthday and I am meeting her after work at my Oma's house for dinner. She wants to have falafal (probably didn't spell that right!) and other stuff I've never had before but I told her I would try it. Don't knock it 'til you've tried it right?

small vent, great day

So the last two weeks I've been maintaining. I mean I'm trying to lose but I can't. I've been working just as hard as usual but the new challenge is the new guy. Being in this new relationship is definitely making it harder to lose weight. He has the metabolism of a freakin' animal, it's amazing. The man can eat 4000 calories a day and lose weight. I am having to work out twice a day just to not gain, it's ridiculous.

I have to keep reminding him that I can make my own plate when we eat and that I can't eat the same things he does. I tell him I didn't lose this weight cause I hate food (I LOVE FOOD) so putting it in front of me is not fair! At BBQs he's getting me a cheeseburger and hot dog at the same time! At dinner it's a LB of steak tips, good god! Then he wants to go out for ice cream, come on!!! LOL, I've been doing my best to not give in and eat everything he gives me but I am really lucky he has two hungry dogs that want to eat everything in sight.

Anyways, end of vent. I'm doing great this week and hoping for a loss on Thursday night. I went out with my mom tonight for her birthday and we had sushi and got pedicures. It was her first one ever and she really enjoyed it. I'm glad I could spend such a good time with her :)

A work in progress

So Genie made me think blog is called 28, Single, Fat and I've had enough. Hmmmmmmmmm this title has served me well but times are changing that's for sure.

I'm going to be 29 years old in August.

I think my new guy would be pretty upset if he thought I was single, actually I know he would be so I don't fall into the Single catagory anymore.

The last one, now that's the hard one. Do I still see myself as fat? No I can honestly say I don't. I definately have some more lbs to lose but I'm pretty excited/happy/thrilled with my loss and my drive to make my goal. I'm glad that I got to the point that I had enough. It gave me the drive to actually do this and actually drop this weight that has made me uncomfortable with myself for so long.

Am I going to change the title??? Make a new blog??? NO, this is the way I started and this is how I felt. It's made me

great weekend and back on track

I had a great weekend but definitely ate more then I should have. I tried to even it out by going to the gym each day but I'm pretty sure it didn't! I'm back on track today though. I was OP all day long even though I made chocolate chip cookies for work for tomorrow.

I went to the gym and had a great workout. 35 minutes on the arc trainer, 20 on the elliptical and strength training for my arms. I also ACTUALLY started the 100 sit up a day challenge for 30 days. I started it last Thursday but I didn't want to say anything because I have started it and failed so many times it's ridiculous. This time I've kept it up everyday and I'm pretty happy with myself. I'm doing 40 regular crunches, 20 on each side bicycle style and then 20 leg raises in the roman chair (no not technically a sit up but it's supposed to be the best for your lower abs so it's getting done).

I've got a lot planned this weekend and I'm excited about all of it, concert on Wednesday night, MMA fights on Friday night, lobster boil at my new guy's house on Saturday. It's going to be a fun weekend.

AM workouts

Working out in the a.m is the greatest. Not only is the gym totally dead at 5:30am but now my workout is completely out of the way and I can do whatever I want after work. Plus I'm up early enough to come home and cook up some egg whites and veggies for an actual breakfast! Usually I eat yogurt at my desk at work if I remember to grab it on my way out the door. I have been getting better and better at morning workouts since it's summertime and the daylight comes earlier.

It's brutally hot up here in NH this week, NOT that I will ever complain about it since the winters are ridiculously unbearable sometimes. But since my workout is out of the way I will be poolside asap after work! If you've never tried a morning workout give it a try, it's well worth it to get some extra time at the end of your day to do whatever you want. Hope everyone has a great day :)

Great 4th of July Weekend :)

Well I haven't written since the start of my long weekend since I've just been so busy. I lost -.4lbs at my weigh in on Thursday night which I was happy with. I've been making pretty good food choices at all the cookouts that I've gone to as well so I'm hoping that once the weekend is over I can back on track completely and have a loss this coming Thursday as well.

The weekend has been great. New guy and I packed up and headed to the ocean on Saturday. We got there early so we could get a good spot and I packed a lunch which he thought was fantastic even though it was just a turkey sandwich (piled high for him of course), his favorite chips, some cut up veggies, cheese and crackers and grapes. Some men are pretty easy to please in the food department. We played a little catch with the football and we even went in the water. FYI for those who don't live in New England, the ocean doesn't really get warm in Maine lol.

Yesterday I wanted to see fireworks and he wanted to go to a BBQ at a place that had them so that worked out perfectly. We had a great time, I met some new people, it was fun.

Today I'm thinking motorcycle ride or absolutely nothing lol. It might be nice to have just a relaxing day off of nothing. Hope everyone is having a great weekend :)

WI is tonight

I'm thinking I might not lose anything, ugh. Well I guess it won't bother me too much as long as I don't gain. I definitely skipped the gym until Tuesday sooooooo I can't expect miracles right?

Last night I had kind of a crummy night. New guy and I had our first fight. Well it wasn't so much of a fight as it was he golfed all day and drank WAY (this is such an understatement) with his buddies which caused some issues. I was good with it and handled myTOTALLYSOBERself well but I did end up leaving and not participating in the drama. Got a bunch of I'm sorry calls/texts but I'll admit I'm still kind of disappointed that any of it happened.

Might be time to put the brakes on a little, not fully but just a little and spend a little more time with ME lol. Tonight I'm going to my meeting and then out for dinner by myself, maybe sushi. I really like doing this since the social worker in me will talk to just about anybody so I meet new people. Fingers crossed that I lose a little bit tonight :)
