Memorial Day Weekend

This weekend was so fantastic, I had such a great time. The weather was beautiful and one more day off, sweet! On Friday night I had a date, it was nice...different since I'm pretty rusty in the dating department. We went to an Italian restaurant on the ocean, the food wasn't anything special but the atmosphere was really fun (BYOB which is definitely strange) and I had a good time. I learned I'm either really bad at taking compliments or not that used to receiving them so they embarrass me. I'm not sure which one it is but I've probably got to work on just saying thank you.

Saturday I went on a long motorcycle ride. It was so nice out and it was the best day out of the weekend. I'm getting more comfortable on the back of a bike and this bike was a way easier ride (couldn't feel the bumps as much). We rode all day long and went to a huge biker bar with a great cover band. I can't wait 'til the next ride!

Sunday I went to a bbq at a friend's house. Another beautiful day outside and I met a bunch of new people. I brought fruit salad and a regular salad and all the kids ate the entire fruit salad in 20 minutes, way before they even touched the cookies and brownies other's had brought. Pretty easy to stay OP when other's around you are eating the same thing and everyone is enjoying it :)

Today was a day to relax. I laid outside and went for a swim in the pool (well I jumped in and swam to the shallow end then I got out immediately). The water was cold and my tattoo on my foot is still in the healing process so I'm not really supposed to be submerging it.

All in all a great weekend. I started back up at the gym on Saturday even though my foot is giving me a little bit of an issue. I'm planning on going to be soon and getting up and going to the gym in the a.m. Hope everyone had a great weekend too.

  1. I'm glad you had a such a great weekend. You've worked really hard to improve your life by losing weight and you deserve dates, new people, fun, and compliments.

Smile sweetly and say "thank you". You just need a little practice.
