Just a quick note since I'm meeting friends for dinner. Weigh in was last night, down -1lb! SWEET :) I'm not sure how many whole pound losses I'll be seeing as I get closer to goal. I'm at 136.2lbs right now (start 164.6) so I'm doing great still and my goal is currently at 130 but I'll have to see what it feels like when I get there.
Side note: Went to Subway to try their new breakfast english muffin sandwich this morning and I thought it was fantastic. I usually have a 2 point breakfast of yogurt and fruit so this was more then I generally eat but only 3 points what a deal!
I had the western egg white w/no onions and instead of southwestern sauce I had hot sauce. It was fantastic for 2 bucks! I will definately be eating these every once in awhile.

Good day today
Today was great. Well tonight wasn't, I ran out of oil and it's freezing in NH but...I have a space heater for the night so it'll be bearable. The rest of the day was great! Went to work and then had enough time to go to the gym before I met up with my friend to go get a pedicure. We went to a new place and it was so nice. I couldn't have a glass of wine or anything but they did have some snacks that they served that I could actually eat! Whole wheat crackers and laughing cow Swiss cheese, sweet! I picked a hot pink/fuchsia color and it looks fantastic.
After that we went to Applebees and I had the tilapia with double veggies. Very good. I had a great time catching up and gossiping with a friend who I don't get to see often because she had a baby and we no longer work together.
I've got to keep this short since it's kinda cold in here and I want to get in my room where the heat is LOL. Tomorrow is my weigh in day and I'm getting up and going to the gym in the a.m. Have a great night everyone and thanks for the support yesterday...fyi I didn't go for the Doritos last night :)

Today was a rough day...
I'm just pissy today and I heard some bad news that someone is going around saying bad stuff about me so that's hard. I try to ignore these things because I don't honestly care what most people think about me but sometimes it's hard when you first hear it.
I did well and didn't reach for Doritos or anything like that. I even went to the gym (only 30 minutes on the arc trainer and strength training for my arms) but I'll admit I didn't want anything to do with being there.
Tonight might be hard since I'm home already (couldn't bring myself to go to the laundry mat) and I'm just going to watch tv all night. Hopefully The Biggest Loser and Dancing with the Stars motivates me instead of depresses me further and then I make some bad decisions. Just have to keep telling myself...weigh in day is Thursday night and tomorrow I'm getting a pedicure which will be relaxing food will stress me out more!

daily update
Just a quick note since I already wrote today to tell you all that I was OP today. I went to the gym after work and it's so funny to see the difference in what I buy now compared to what I used to buy. Everything has to go in the fridge since it's all fresh foods. I only had one box of cheerios, a can of black beans and a can of black olives to put in the cabinet. The rest was fruits, veggies, dairy and fish/shrimp.
Tonight I made a fantastic dinner...sauted shrimp w/jalapenos, cumin and rinsed black beans. Fresh greens in a bowl, topped with tomatoes, black olives and a sprinkle (1/8 cup) reduced fat Cabot cheddar. Shrimp/black beans on top with homemade guacamole on top. I made a dressing with fat free sour cream and salsa. FANTASTIC :) sometimes I can't even believe I come up with these things. It was the best "southwestern salad" I've ever had and very low in points.
Went to the gym tonight. 35 minutes on the arc trainer, 15 minutes on the treadmill (and a 15 minute walk outside during my break at work). Then I came home and did the ab exercises for the Glamour 4 Week challenge. This is my new challenge I am taking on...it's to get bikini ready and flatten that belly. We will see how well it works.
Side note: On Friday night I bit the bullet and went to Victoria's Secret to get measured. I was really thinking my girls were shrinking and I'll admit I was pretty upset about it! I really love my Ds lol, I don't want them to go anywhere. Well when I got measure boy was I surprised...from a 38D to a 34DD! Nothing wrong with that!

diet vs. life changes
I was on the WW message boards today and someone posted a question regarding how your eating habits have changed since you started weight watchers. It really got me thinking…I’ve done WW three times in my life and lost weight each time but I’ve always gained it back. This will be my challenge when I start doing maintenance after I meet my goal. Then I started to think about what really was different THIS time.
Weight Watchers tells you this is not a diet program; it is a lifestyle change. I used to think “yeah right, then why am I always hungry and trying to figure out how to make my favorite foods decrease in fat and increase in fiber?” But now I think that I’ve actually come to realize that this is in fact a lifestyle change for me.
In the past when I have worked the program I have basically controlled my points to be able to eat junk and drink a ton of booze later that day. This time I have figured out that junk makes me feel gross after and it’s just not worth it (same with huge amounts of booze). Not that I don’t indulge because I definitely still eat some loaded nachos, a burger or ice cream and drink some adult beverages. But the amount that I eat has gone way down and my beer choice has switched to MGD64.
In the past it would bother me to go out to eat and not be able to get the same things as other people. I thought it would be a cold day in hell when I’d pass up a quesadilla burger with fries and a Brewtus Bud Light at Applebees for the Cajun tilapia with double veggies and a skinny margarita!!!! Now I order a healthier dish and I actually enjoy it. It seems to me that food even tastes better when you are in control about what you are eating.
I used to work out so that I could eat/drink more later that night. Now I work out because I feel fantastic after. I love being on that elliptical and thinking to myself, you can do anything for two minutes...just two more minutes...see you did it…now do it again...you can do anything for two more minutes right??? You bet I can, all of a sudden it’s been 30.
I’m walking on the treadmill and a song will come on the IPod, "Someone call 911...shorty's fire burning on the treadmill" well that's not exactly how the song goes but that's what i hear...and I can’t walk anymore, it’s too easy, I start running. RUNNING? Wait, I can’t run…no that was the old me, the new me…well that skinny biatch, she can run!!
I’ve got to say the obvious physical changes are great to see and the comments I get from people that I know make me feel fantastic. When I started in January I literally hated the way I looked, I hated the choices I made and I hated myself. After 4 months I finally feel in control of my eating, my decisions and my life. I guess the long story short is I started a diet that caused many wonderful life style changes and since I’m finally in charge it’s up to me to keep it up. Best thing is, there’s no doubt in my mind that I can and will do it :)

WI results and the weekend...
Haven't posted since before my weigh in on Thursday night. I lost .4lbs which I consider pretty good since I lost a point the week before and didn't make the best decisions last weekend.
This weekend my dad came to visit. It was nice to see him and spend time with him. I'm going to see him in May and I can't wait. What a great time to go on vacation and Texas should be nice and hot by then :)
We went out to eat quite a bit and I made some good choices (sweet potato veggie burger) and some bad choice (hello seafood nachos LOL). All in all I think I did good and it's not everyday I get to see him and go out to eat.
I'm so tired tonight so this will be a short post. Tomorrow is the start of a new week. Off to the gym in the a.m and then probably again after work since I'll have time. I'd like to have a decent loss on Thursday so I'll be trying to be completely OP all week long. Good night :)

A little nervous about weigh in tomorrow but it is what it is
It's been a busy week at work but I've done really good eating and exercising. I tried to get up this morning and go to the gym but that didn't happen so I went after work. I had extra time before dinner at Oma's so I did 40 minutes on the arc trainer and 20 minutes on the elliptical then strength training for my arms and squats, dead lifts, and some other machines for my legs. I felt absolutely fantastic after it.
Then I went to Oma's for dinner and she did a great job. Ham, cauliflower, green beans, winter squash and salad. Very weight watcher friendly so it was perfect.
Now I'm home for the night, time to cut up some strawberries for the rest of the week and watch some tv. I've got to get to bed early because I AM GETTING UP TOMORROW AND GOING TO THE GYM IN THE MORNING...it actually happens when I write down in this blog so I'm going to do that when I definitely want to make sure I do it! LOL.
Weigh in tomorrow night. I dropped a point last week and binged on Sunday so hopefully everything evens out and I lose. Guess I'll just have to wait and see and be completely OP tomorrow. Good night :)

Back on track today
Well even though today was a Monday and very busy I had a great day. Way better then yesterday. I'm back feeling like myself and even enjoyed work although the phone calls did not stop all day long! This morning I even snuck out and went for a 15 minute long walk.
I stayed OP all day long and hit the gym up after work for a great workout. 35 minutes on the arc trainer, 15 minutes on the elliptical, strength training for my arms and then a 10 minute cool down walking on the treadmill. It felt great :)
I'm finally sitting down now to watch Dancing with the Stars after a long night at the Laundromat. I was just trying to get it all out of the way so tomorrow I can work, go to the gym and then head home and do nothing!!!
Side Note: For dinner tonight I tried Jennie O Turkey Kielbasa...cooked it kind of like a stir fry with yellow and red peppers, mushrooms, asparagus and a few cherry tomatoes (added at the very end). Served it over couscous. FYI-Jennie O Turkey Kielbasa is SUPER LOW in points, check it out if you like that kind of thing. I thought it was so good I made enough for leftovers for tomorrow night. Yay, now I only have to heat something up tomorrow, it's going to be great!

Off day, just not feeling myself today
Ugh today was just one of those days. I just don't don't feel like my typical self. I am really tired and feel kind of depressed. I'm not sure why but I feel a little lonely and like I should have stayed in my pj's all day long.
It's really hard to not reach for comfort foods when I'm feeling down. I've made some choices that are not OP today and unfortunately that makes me feel a little bit worse. I volunteered this morning and served breakfast at the American Legion this morning. It was really hard to smell all that delicious bacon, sausage and pancakes without snacking. I was able to hold off until the end of it and then I had my complimentary breakfast, one egg, one sausage, and 1/2 a cup of home fries (not too bad there, I mean it could have been a disaster and I think I made good choices).
Then I retreated back to my house to watch tv in my pjs. My friend called and I went out for Sushi for dinner. We had some sushi, sashimi and an egg roll. Then even though I was full I went to Friendly's and got a happy ending sundae (chocolate almond chip ice cream with peanut butter sauce and whipped cream). Now I'm more then full, with my belly hurting, back at home, in my pj's, still feeling sad.
Ugh I guess everyone has these days obviously. I just feel like I've been getting all these compliments lately and I feel like I look so much better but it's so much work and it takes up so much time. I have less time to spend time with people, less time to socialize and more time to myself which can be really lonely. Well tomorrow is another day and a fresh start on another week; I bet I'll feel better after a good night's sleep anyway.

SV and a rainy weekend
I haven't written since the night before my weigh in, whoops! My weigh in was on Thursday night and I was down -1.6lbs. That make my weight 137.2 (started at 164.6 on January 4, 2010). My total loss so far is 27.something. Yay me!
After my weigh in wanted to go out and have a HUGE burger. So I went to Uno and got a burger with Cabot cheddar, mushrooms, guacamole, lettuce and tomatoes AND the fries that went along with it! I was all set to totally go to town but boy was I surprised when I could only eat 1/2 that dang burger! I mean what the hell? I used to eat appetizers, a meal and sometimes dessert and now I can't even get a whole restaurant size burger down! Ridiculous! I guess it's good in the long run and I left the other half there since I didn't want to have 2 non OP days.
It's been rainy and cold the last few days here, such a disappointing change from the kick ass sunny weather we've been having. Last night I went out for some adult beverages and I wore a fitted flannel shirt that I bought back in December even though there was no chance it would fit then. I went from looking the like incredible hulk after he becomes mad to it fitting perfectly :) it felt so great and I got lots of compliments.
Made the best of the rainy morning and I hit up the gym for a nice long workout. 35 minutes on the arc trainer, 20 minutes on the elliptical, strength training for my arms and then a 15 minute walk on the treadmill to cool down. Today is a good day :) enjoy the weekend!

Another late day...
Ugh, just sitting down and I missed the first 30 minutes of the Biggest Loser! Oh well. Just a short update for today since I want to relax a little.
Went to the gym of course...35 minutes on the arc trainer, 15 minutes on the elliptical and 10 minutes on the treadmill. That's the 60 minutes that I was striving for so yay me!
I couldn't make what I wanted for dinner tonight so I had the same thing I had last night, sort of boring :( but it was all within my points so that is okay.
I WILL GET UP TOMORROW AM AND GO TO THE GYM SO I DON'T HAVE TO GO AFTER DINNER AT OMA'S...that is my promise to myself for tomorrow.

Late night, finally sitting down
Ugh it makes me mad when I don't get to sit down to dinner until 8pm. A few nights a week this tends to be the case. It seems like I work, speed to the gym, try to get at least an hour in there and then speed home to do whatever work around the house that needs to be done. Tonight it was the laundry which involves going to the laundry mat. Luckily for me it is right down the road, but it definitely makes for a long night.
I've decided this week that I am going to challenge myself to 60 minutes of cardio a day and toning moves. I'm also bringing back my strength training exercises. I took a break on these last week when I was doing the Self Challenge. I read in Fitness Magazine on Friday that if you are looking to tone then you shouldn't rest in between sets and if you do they should be very short breaks. Now I'm not sure if I believe this or not but I'm going to try it during April and see if it makes a difference in my measurements next month.
I seem to be doing okay with 19 points a day. I was able to stick to my plan this weekend even though I went out once, seafood is definitely a great option and I've been eating a ton of it lately. Guess I've got a plan for the rest of the week, hopefully it all goes great :)

lazy day
I had such a lazy day today. I'll admit I was hungover today so I didn't get up til 1130 and that was only because the dump was closing and I had to get there before that happened. Then I dragged my lazy butt to the gym. I couldn't workout like I wanted to because my head was pounding so badly but I still walked on the treadmill for 45 minutes.
Then I laid around for awhile and watched some junk tv. I finally got myself showered and dressed and went off to do some shopping. How the hell does one bag of stuff at Walmart cost $30? LOL, I mean mouth wash, razors and other must haves are ridiculously expensive! I bought some new 5lb dumbbells for my workouts. And a new bright yellow tank top at TJMaxx.
My friend called me and since I was out I offered to pick him up some food. He wanted some burgers so I hit the Burger King drive thru. Hello temptation! I hadn't eaten all day since I didn't feel too great so now I was just about starving. I get there and the freakin' drive thru is broken. Damn it, now I had to go in and smell it while I ordered for him! Oh I definitely thought about how great a rodeo burger and mozzarella sticks would be but I didn't give in. I ordered up his three whopper jr's and a small fry and only stole 3 fries :)
Then I ordered Chinese food take out. Are you thinking what, how is that any better? Well some of it is! At the place close to me they have healthy options that REALLY actually are healthy. They don't use oil and the sauce is given to you on the side. So I had steamed shrimp with veggies and it came with white rice. I got home and used my new WW Scale (just broke down and bought it Thursday at the meeting) to measure the rice out. Just a side note: this scale is FANTASTIC you can weigh items OR get the points for them so I could measure out 2 points of rice! Then I added the amount of sauce that was good for me, fyi a little goes a long way. It was great, I'm glad I went with that instead of the burger :)

Weigh In Results...and more positive news!!!
So I didn't get around to writing the other day after my weigh in...but the results are in:
-1.2lbs!!! SWEET!!!
What does that mean? Peace out 140s! I'll never see you again. What else does that mean? Well my BMI is FINALLY in the healthy category!! I started in the obese category and have made it to healthy, life is good :) And finally I have lost a total 25.6lbs!!! So I also got my -25lb charm for my key chain! What a great weigh in!!!
The only bad news...ugh, dropped a point. I'm down to 19 :( booooooooo LOL, who would think 1 point would make that big of the difference? We'll see how this next week goes...

The only bad news...ugh, dropped a point. I'm down to 19 :( booooooooo LOL, who would think 1 point would make that big of the difference? We'll see how this next week goes...

Tomorrow is weigh in
I am excited. I've done the best I possibly could this week. I hit the gym everyday and I've been doing that Self Challenge exactly as it says which is a LOT of cardio. Today was supposed to be a "rest day" but with my weigh in tomorrow I'm going to use that as a rest day and I skipped to day 4 today.
Today was 30 minutes in zone 2...I did the arc trainer on level 3. Then 30 minutes, 1 in zone 3, 2 minutes in zone 2 then repeat...I did the arc trainer on manual with a resistance of 30 for zone 3 and 15 for zone 2. Very good workout.
I've also been completely OP with my eating so tomorrow night's weigh in should be fantastic. Tonight I had tilapia w/grilled red peppers, mushrooms, jalapeno pepper, topped with peach salsa and some homemade guacamole. All this plus a side of steamed broccoli...fyi very low in points for this meal and it was fantastic.
Time to relax and watch some tv. I'd like to get up early since the weather is going to be beautiful tomorrow and go for a walk before work.

Self Challenge Day 2
So I've been doing the 7 day challenge in this month's Self magazine for two days now. The first day caused some serious blisters on my left foot but didn't deter me from working out today. I just had to go about it differently, meaning...no running on the treadmill.
Day 2 looks like this...you can pick any cardio you just need to do it in different zones.
10 minutes in zone 1...which for me was the treadmill on an incline at 3.6
10 minutes in zone 2...the arc trainer on level 3
10 minutes, repeating 1 min in zone 2, 1 min in zone 3...elliptical at different intesities
Then you repeat each 10 minute session. I made it through it. I think it was nice to change machines and do different things, it definately kept my interest longer.
After you do all that there are 8 toning exercises that you do 12 times then repeat. I've been doing these since Saturday and I'm getting used to them. I only have 3lb dumbbells so I might need to pick up some 5lbs ones on payday.
All in all I'm really enjoying this challenge so far. Tomorrow is supposed to be a rest day but I'm not resting, I'm just going to go on to Thursday's plan. My weigh in is on Thursday and I'll use that as my rest day instead.
Now it's time for the Biggest Loser, ugh I hope red goes home. I've got to switch back and forth between this and Dancing with the Stars (I'm sorry but I love Pam Anderson, I don't care what anyone says, she's fab and she knows it, I love that about her). Have a great night :)

It's measurement update time...
So I started this weight loss journey (for the third, but successful FINALLY time) on January 4th 2010. I took my measurements then and then took them again on March 2nd, 2 months later. Today is April 5th so it's been 3 months and it's time to take them again...
Jan. 4th-----March 4th-----TODAY
chest: 38D----33.5inches still D-----32C inches
stomach: 37 inches-----34 inches-----32.5 inches
hips: 42 inches-----37.5 inches-----37 inches
thighs: 22 inches-----20.5 inches-----20 inches
arms: 12 inches-----11 inches------10 inches
I'm still losing inches!!!
In January I wore a size 13 pants, in March I wore a 9 and the other day I just bought my first size 6 shorts!!! YAY!
I started at 22 points a day in weight watchers and am down to 20 points, most likely going to drop to 19 on Thursday after weigh in. The reality of all this is simple...weight watchers works if YOU work the program.
Now a little bit about today. I've been looking for new exercise plans since I've been getting a little bored. I opened this month's Self magazine and found a plan that I think is totally doable. It's only a week long so I'm trying it out this week.
Basically it has three zones of cardio that you do for different intervals. Today was day one so I decided I would use the following:
zone 1: walking at a 3.8
zone 2: running at a 4.5-4.8
zone 3: running at a 6
The program says you do 10 minutes in zone 1, 10 minutes in zone 2, then 20 minutes (1 minute in zone 3, 3 minutes in zone 2, repeat til 20 minutes is up), then 10 minutes in zone 2 then finish with 10 minutes in zone 1. Total of 60 minutes...fyi it was hard, I am beat and I have blisters on my feet :( but I DID IT. I think the only way that I made it through it is because it was broken down to change the times and I kept repeating to myself "you can do anything for a minute, anything."
Then there are 8 more toning exercises that you do and all you need is a set of dumbbells. So I went home and completed those. I'll admit I'm not looking forward to tomorrow but I am going to do it. This time I think I'll have to use the elliptical though because my feet are really hurting.
Now it's time to relax :)

What a great weekend :)
The weather was so fantastic here in NH this weekend. It was absolutely perfect and I did things outside as much as I possibly could. I went to the gym both days and I got in a little extra activity by hitting some golf balls at the driving range today, you know anything to be outside!!!
On Saturday morning I had to go shopping for some new clothes after I had a mini breakdown on Friday night since I couldn't find a freakin' thing to wear that looked even halfway decent. I'm so proud of myself for losing the weight but I have nothing to wear that fits. The clothes I had look absolutely ridiculous and make me look heavier then I am. So off to Old Navy I went and purchased small tops and size 6 shorts...yup you read that right!!! SWEET :) Next Friday is payday and I will be buying some more stuff, after I spend this week getting rid of EVERYTHING that doesn't fit!
Today was Easter so I went to Oma's house of dinner. Typical stuff and kind of easy to make choice since Oma really does a good job with the amount of veggie options. Ham, asparagus, sugar snap peas, winter squash and a HEAVENLY crusty bread roll. I passed on the apple crisp but did have one small scoop of the double churn edy's french vanilla. After dinner I wanted to get outside so I went to the driving range and hit some golf balls.
I wish every weekend could be this great :)

Weight in results...
-.8lbs. It's a loss right? Brings me to a total of -24.4lbs and I currently weigh 140.4lbs...I still wish it was under 140 but that will be next week!
I went out for dinner and had fried seafood, not the best choice but oh well. I wanted it, haven't had it in forever and it was delicious. Back OP and on track tomorrow :)
